A Helping Hand
for Growing Little Koalas
At Cosy Koalas Group, we're committed to supporting families every step of the way, including helping you understand and access the childcare funding available to you.
Eligible working families may be entitled to up to 30 hours of funded childcare per week for children from 9 months old through to school age, making high-quality early years education more accessible and affordable.
Funding is typically available from the term after your child becomes eligible and can continue until they start school, subject to meeting the relevant criteria.
Depending on your circumstances, funded childcare may also be used alongside other government support schemes, such as Tax-Free Childcare, helping families make the most of the support available.

Flexible Funding All Year Round
Funding Options
At Cosy Koalas Group, we offer stretched funding for families who require childcare throughout the year. This allows eligible funded hours to be spread across 51 weeks, providing greater flexibility and more consistent childcare arrangements.
Depending on your eligibility, this typically provides:
• Approximately 11 funded hours per week (equivalent to 15 hours term-time funding)
• Approximately 22 funded hours per week (equivalent to 30 hours term-time funding)
Actual funded hours may vary slightly depending on funding arrangements and attendance patterns.
Optional Extras
Government funding contributes towards childcare hours. Optional extras, such as meals, snacks, nappies, wipes, and additional enrichment activities, may be available at an additional cost.
Full details of any optional charges will always be provided clearly and transparently, helping families make informed choices about the services that best meet their needs.
Funding from 9 Months
Eligible working families may be entitled to up to 30 funded hours from the term after their child turns 9 months old.
Stretched across 51 weeks, this provides approximately 22 funded hours per week.
Funding for 2–4 Year Olds
All 2 - 4-year-olds are entitled to 15 funded hours per week.
Eligible working families may receive up to 30 funded hours, with stretched funding options available across the year.
